THE PRODIGAL

I wanted to capture the whole story in its fullness, without having to illustrate a detailed picture showing the journey.

The Prodigal Son has always been a story that I have warmed to. Knowing that the Father’s love is always there and unconditional. Even when we say ‘stuff you’, and try and go it alone.

I felt that focusing on the emotional reaction to the Father’s absolute love, portrays the realisation for the son that what he was looking for was always there.

The whole point is, we often go off looking for stuff but in actual fact we always had it.

Being black and white, this picture shows emotion at its rawest form. The eyes never lie.

We have set this website up to share the resources from the book 'The Illustrated Gospel Project', plus the extra stuff that we couldn't fit in the book. But there is still room! Room for what you and your community of faith might create in response to God’s creative Word at work, and at play in your midst. So if you create a drama, a song, a prayer or a responsive reading, we’d like you to share it.
