The Empty Place
Poem – Andrew Norton
Mark 16:6
The empty place is never empty
but speaks of other.
Resurrection makes
no
sense.
Unless you have first
been
confronted;
seen for yourself,
this place,
this person,
you and me
are
empty.
Give up of all your false images of God,
because this God breaks all the rules.
“You can see for yourselves that the place is empty”
Emptiness is
an invitation to
surrender,
to
see
with new eyes,
to
start
again,
but
not as before,
to
live
resurrection.
