Mark 15-16 That Blessed Nazarene

The Empty Place

The Empty Place

Poem – Andrew Norton
Mark 16:6

The empty place is never empty
but speaks of other.

Resurrection makes
no
sense.

Unless you have first
been
confronted;
seen for yourself,
this place,
this person,
you and me
are
empty.

Give up of all your false images of God,
because this God breaks all the rules.

“You can see for yourselves that the place is empty”

Emptiness is
an invitation to
surrender,

to
see
with new eyes,

to
start
again,

but
not as before,

to
live
resurrection.

We have set this website up to share the resources from the book ‘The Illustrated Gospel Project’,
plus the extra stuff that we couldn’t fit in the book.
But there is still room! Room for what you and your community of faith might create in response to God’s creative Word at work, and at play in your midst.
So if you create a drama, a song, a prayer or a responsive reading, we’d like you to share it.
