The Philippian’s Hymn – Sheet Music

$3.00

A congregational song based on the ancient Christian hymn, embedded in Paul’s Epistle to the Philippian Church (Phil 2:5-11). It focuses on the humility of Christ which paradoxically, is his pathway to being given the ‘name above all names.’ It names the complicity of humanity in Christ’s death, and the hand of God in raising him. The New Testament is consistent in affirming that Jesus did not raise himself from the dead, but God by the Spirit did. This gives us hope, that we can trust ourselves to the resurrecting power of God for all that is need of it in our own lives.

This is a song of confession in both senses of the word; of our own sin and of who God is and what God has done.
